G0845 numbers work in conjunction with your existing
telephone number and therefore people can still call
you on your old number if required. This allows you
to give out your new 0845 number over time without missing
any calls. |
Can
I choose my own number?
Unfortunately not, we allocate your number from a list
of thousands we have available on a “next-in-line”
basis. |
Will
the number cost me anything in the future?
No, there is absolutely no cost for you to have the
number. The only cost you may have is the admin fee
if you re-point your number in the future. |
Do
I have to pay when people call me?
No, as above, there is absolutely no cost for you. The
person calling you pays local call rate and that's all! |
If
it costs nothing, where is the catch?
There is no catch whatsoever. When someone calls the
0845 number, even though the call cost is a local call
we receive a small amount from BT. This covers our costs
and enables us to provide the ongoing numbers for free.
You get the service for free, your friends can call
you at local call rates, and we make a small amount
of money. Its good for everyone! |
How
do I change the number where my G0845 is sending my
calls?
Simply complete the online form by logging in to your
account here, requesting
the change of your receiving number, or call us on 0845
108 0845. A small administration charge of £2.49
is applied each time you change your number. |
How
many times can I change my receiving number?
You can do this as many times as you like. |
Can
I have my G0845 pointing to a mobile number?
No. Your G0845 receiving number must be an existing
UK land line number. |
Is
there a maximum number of calls that I can receive to
my G0845 number?
Absolutely not, we want you to enjoy the benefits of
your G0845 with no maximum restrictions. We do, however
reserve the right to re-allocate your number if no calls
are made to the number over a continuous 6-month period. |
Is
there a loss in quality when someone calls me on my
G0845?
Our carrier technology is some of the most advanced
in the world. There is absolutely no loss in quality
when your friends and family call you on your G0845

What
is meant by "Low Rate" ?
G0845 is based on the national non-geographic numbering
system. These prices are set by BT on a national basis
and are classed as "Low Rate" calls. The current
cost to call an 0845 number or similar code is 3.95p,
1.5p & 1p per minute for daytime, evening &
weekend calls respectively. So, unlike previous personal
number services, your friends and family are not paying
a premium for your convenience. |
